Self tanning mousse is somewhat of a novelty, it’s not as well known as other products such a lotions. Many people can’t come to grips with how to use it after all, mousse has always been associated with hair. Self tanning mousse actually brings something new to the fold, it is very quick acting and will dry almost instantly on your skin. Because it’s mousse and not liquid based you’ll never have to worry about streaking again. It’s great to use with lotions, and can nicely maintain your tan. This is for more advanced self tanners, but something worth noting.
Two Very Good Self Tanning Mousse Products
You apply it like a lather, but because it dries so quickly, you must wear gloves. You won’t have time to wash your hands like you normally do when you using lotions. Self tanning mousse will give you a tan in about 60 seconds, and that’s as fast or faster than anything else you can get. The tan will get darker over the first initial hours, usually the first 3 hours. Two brands that are known for making a good product are St. Tropez and Fake Bake.
- St. Tropez Self Tan Bronze Mousse won’t disappoint, it gives a lovely color, natural looking and the aloe vera keeps the skin soft. It’s great to use all over your body, and the color of the tan is the most impressive thing about this product. It will cost more than other brands but the tan it gives is quite brilliant, similar to clarins self tanning.
- Fake Bake Self Tanning Mousse is a thicker mousse but also dries in a matter of seconds. It is ‘guaranteed’ to give you a great tan that doesn’t look orange. Fake bake mousse also lasts longer, so this is a definite plus. A simple application will make your skin 4-6 shades darker than it normally is and works great with virtually all kinds of skin pigment.
Self tan mousse might be new, but for people who have tried it, it’s worthiness is proven. Quick drying, effective and ideal when you are in a rush but need a tan. It does have a slight smell but something that you can live with. It’s great for people who have a difficult time with streaking, a mousse simply will not streak.
